Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced Warehouse Lead to help coordinate daily warehouse operations in a fast-paced automotive logistics environment.
This is a hands-on leadership position. The Warehouse Lead will work directly with warehouse associates while helping ensure inbound and outbound operations are completed safely, accurately, and on time.
Schedule will be
- Mon-Fri with availability on Saturday
- 8am to 5pm with opportunity for overtime
Skills and Experience
- Coordinate and lead daily warehouse activities
- Assign work and provide direction to warehouse associates
- Monitor inbound and outbound shipments
- Assist with receiving, storing, picking, staging, and shipping material
- Help maintain accurate inventory and product locations
- Ensure materials are moved and staged according to daily production needs
- Monitor productivity and make sure assigned work is completed correctly and on time
- Train and support new and existing team members
- Promote safe operation of forklifts and other material-handling equipment
- Ensure employees follow safety procedures and company policies
- Maintain an organized and clean warehouse environment
- Communicate operational issues, shortages, damages, or delays to management
- Complete required warehouse reports and documentation
- Step in and assist the team with warehouse duties when needed
Qualifications:
- Previous warehouse experience required
- Previous Lead or Team Lead experience strongly preferred
- Forklift experience preferred
- Experience with shipping, receiving, inventory, or material handling
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency
- Dependable attendance and reliable transportation
- Comfortable working on the warehouse floor and leading by example
- Basic computer/Warehouse Management System experience is a plus
