Overview
The Maintenance Technician – 2nd Shift is responsible for keeping the production facility clean, safe, and operating efficiently. This position performs equipment cleaning and high-pressure washdowns, preventative maintenance, and basic troubleshooting and repairs involving electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and hydraulic systems. The technician will also assist with equipment setup, disassembly, sanitation, and general facility maintenance while following all food safety, GMP, chemical handling, safety, and Lockout/Tagout procedures. This role requires someone dependable, mechanically inclined, comfortable working in wet and refrigerated environments, and able to work independently with limited supervision.
Skills and Experience
Candidates should have basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and hydraulic systems, along with the ability to safely use hand and power tools. Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills are required. Candidates must be able to work independently with limited supervision and have a strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn. Experience with food-processing or food-service equipment is preferred.
