Overview

Receiving: Unload delivery trucks, inspect goods for damage, and check items against purchase orders or packing slips.
Shipping: Package, label, weigh, and address outgoing products for customer orders.
Inventory Control: Scan barcodes, count stock, and log inventory data into digital systems or databases.
Coordination: Schedule shipments and communicate with freight carriers like UPS, FedEx, or DHL.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate daily logs of shipments, receipts, and delivery discrepancies

Skills and Experience

Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Experience: Entry-level positions require on-the-job training, while specialized roles prefer 1 to 3 years of warehouse or logistics experience.
Skills: Strong attention to detail, basic computer proficiency, and good time management.
Certifications: Forklift operation certification or the willingness to obtain one.
Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long shifts, walk frequently, and lift heavy items (often up to 50 pounds).
