Overview
The Seat Assembler is responsible for assembling vehicle seats and related components according to production specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements. This position requires attention to detail, good hand-eye coordination, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Skills and Experience
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assemble vehicle seats and seat components using hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment.
- Install cushions, covers, frames, brackets, wiring, and other seat components.
- Follow work instructions, production drawings, and established assembly procedures.
- Inspect completed seats for proper fit, function, appearance, and quality.
- Identify and report defective materials or assembly issues.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Meet production goals while maintaining quality standards.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Properly use and maintain tools and equipment.
- Work cooperatively with team members, supervisors, and quality personnel.
- Perform other production duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing, assembly, or production experience preferred.
- Ability to use basic hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to stand, bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and move materials as required.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
Working Conditions
- Fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Frequent standing, bending, reaching, and repetitive movements.
- May require lifting, pushing, and pulling materials and assembled components.
- Must follow required personal protective equipment (PPE) and workplace safety procedures.
