What You'll Do as a Forklift Operator:
- Operate powered industrial equipment, including sit-down or stand-up forklifts and pallet jacks
- Move bulky materials, sorted pallets, and recyclable materials throughout the warehouse
- Load and unload staging areas to support sorting lines and processing areas
- Inspect equipment before each shift and report maintenance concerns
- Follow pallet stability and stacking requirements to help maintain a safe work environment
- Assist with ground-level processing or sorting when forklift operation is not needed
Skills and Experience
What You'll Bring as a Preferred Candidate
- 1–2 years of verified forklift experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment (forklift certification, preferred)
- Ability to safely mount and dismount equipment
- Ability to sit for extended periods and frequently bend, twist, reach, push, and pull
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
- Strong focus on safety and following established procedures
- Reliable attendance and ability to work as part of a team
