Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Wheel Loader Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating medium to large wheel loaders to move, load, and transfer materials safely and efficiently across our site.
The ideal candidate has strong machine control, a sharp eye for site safety, and a solid track record of completing daily equipment inspections and routine maintenance.

What You’ll Do as a Wheel Loader Operator:
- Safely operate wheel loaders to load haul trucks, feed hoppers/crushers, stockpile materials, and grade site areas.
- Transport raw materials, aggregate, soil, or waste across the facility/job site while adhering to site capacity limits and weight restrictions.
- Perform daily walk-around inspections (fluids, tires/tracks, hydraulics, brakes, lights) and complete daily operator logbooks.
- Clean tracks/tires, grease grease points, top off fluids, and promptly report mechanical issues or safety hazards to maintenance staff.
- Maintain clear communication with ground crew, spotters, and truck drivers via two-way radios and hand signals. Follow all OSHA, MSHA, and company safety guidelines.
- Assist with general site preparation, cleanup, and minor labor tasks when equipment operation is not actively required.
Skills and Experience
- Minimum [1–3+] years of experience operating heavy equipment, specifically wheel loaders (CAT, Komatsu, Volvo, or similar brands).
- Excellent spatial awareness, precision machine control, and basic knowledge of heavy equipment mechanical systems.
- Ability to sit for extended periods, climb onto/off machinery repeatedly, lift up to 50 lbs, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic, dependable attendance, and a commitment to maintaining a drug-free workplace (pre-employment drug screening required).
