Overview
Ōnin Staffing is currently hiring a Pit Operator / Tractor Operator for a grain-handling facility in Conway, NC.
This is a hands-on position that involves operating a tractor and other equipment, assisting with the unloading and dumping of grain, and working throughout the plant. Candidates should be comfortable operating equipment and working in an industrial environment.
Skills and Experience
Responsibilities
- Operate a tractor and other equipment safely.
- Assist with unloading and dumping grain from trucks.
- Work within the plant and grain-handling areas.
- Monitor equipment during daily operations.
- Follow all required safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Assist with general plant duties as needed.
- Communicate with drivers, coworkers, and supervisors.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous tractor, heavy equipment, agricultural, warehouse, or industrial experience preferred.
- Comfortable operating equipment in a plant environment.
- Ability to work safely around moving machinery and equipment.
- Dependable with strong attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
- Must be available to work later than the scheduled shift when needed.
- Must be available to work Saturdays as required.
Must be flexible with overtime, including later workdays and Saturdays when needed.
