Job Summary
We are currently hiring Hospital Laundry Attendants for a busy healthcare environment. This position is responsible for supporting the daily laundry and linen operations within a hospital setting. Team members will handle, transport, sort, and distribute linens while helping ensure hospital departments have the supplies they need to operate efficiently.
The ideal candidate is punctual, dependable, respectful, and comfortable working in a fast-paced hospital environment. Being on time and maintaining consistent attendance are essential to success in this position.
Schedule
Multiple schedules are available:
- 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM | Monday – Friday
- Mandatory: 2 Saturdays per month
- 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Monday – Friday
- 7:00 PM – 3:30 AM | Monday – Friday
Key Responsibilities
- Sort, handle, organize, and distribute hospital linens
- Push, pull, and maneuver large linen carts throughout the hospital
- Transport linen safely between designated areas and hospital departments
- Navigate busy hospital hallways while being aware of patients, visitors, and staff
- Follow hospital safety and sanitation procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Communicate professionally and respectfully with hospital staff
- Work efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
- Follow instructions and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner
- Assist with other laundry and linen duties as needed
Skills and Experience
Required Skills & Experience
- Previous laundry, linen, hospital, warehouse, or similar experience is a plus
- Ability to work in a busy, fast-paced environment
- Must be punctual and dependable
- Strong attendance is essential; candidates must be able to consistently report to work as scheduled
- Must be aware of your surroundings and mindful of hospital traffic
- Professional and respectful communication skills
- Must have great manners and provide excellent customer service to hospital staff
- Ability to follow directions and work independently and as part of a team
- Must be physically able to push, pull, and maneuver large carts weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to remain on your feet and physically active throughout the shift
