Ōnin Staffing is hiring General Laborers to join a busy lumber production team in Muscle Shoals. This is a hands-on position where you'll help move, prepare, and inspect lumber products while working alongside a team to keep production moving safely and efficiently.
No previous lumber or manufacturing experience is required — we'll consider candidates who are dependable, willing to learn, and ready to work.
💰 Pay & Schedule
1st Shift – $13.50/hour
· Summer schedule: 5:00 AM–1:30 PM, Monday–Friday
· After Labor Day: 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, Monday–Friday
2nd Shift – $15.00/hour
· 4:00 PM–2:30 AM, Monday–Thursday
· Includes a $1.50/hour shift differential
Start and end times may vary based on production needs.
Mandatory overtime may be required.
🔨 What You'll Do
· Move and stack lumber products
· Label, tag, band, and secure materials
· Load and unload lumber and other materials
· Assist with inventory and production records
· Operate equipment as needed
· Inspect products for quality
· Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe
· Assist in other production areas as needed
· Follow all safety procedures and production guidelines
Skills and Experience
What We're Looking For
· No previous experience required
· Manufacturing or lumber experience is a plus
· Reliable attendance and punctuality
· Reliable transportation
· Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures
· Ability to work effectively as part of a team
· High school diploma/GED preferred, but not required
· Ability to perform physically demanding work throughout the shift
Physical & Work Environment
This is an active production job that requires:
· Frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
· Standing and walking for extended periods
· Bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, pushing, pulling, twisting, and reaching
· Working in hot, cold, dusty, muddy, and outdoor conditions
Composite-toe or steel-toe boots/shoes are required.
Important Requirements
· Must follow a strict attendance policy
· Must have reliable transportation
· Must successfully complete a pre-employment background check and drug screen
· Must be willing to work mandatory overtime when required
