MACHINE OPERATOR

Full-Time | Hourly

Reports To: Production Supervisor

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Machine Operator to set up, operate, monitor, and change over profile extrusion lines and related production equipment. The ideal candidate has manufacturing experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to quality, safety, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and maintain production lines throughout the production run.

  • Perform machine changeovers and line take-downs as required.

  • Monitor equipment and processes to maintain quality and production standards.

  • Follow production schedules and supervisor instructions.

  • Perform inspections, process checks, basic maintenance, and required documentation.

  • Protect and properly maintain production tooling and equipment.

  • Assist packers and other production team members when needed.

  • Identify and report product, process, equipment, or quality issues.

  • Recommend solutions and assist with problem-solving activities.

  • Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) requirements.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

  • Report safety hazards, accidents, and injuries immediately.

  • Perform other production-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of relevant manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred.

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills.

  • Basic math and reading skills.

  • Ability to understand work instructions, control plans, and production requirements.

  • Knowledge of quality and safety standards.

  • Familiarity with IATF 16949, EMS, Quality Management Systems, and SPC is preferred.

  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and quality.

  • Ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for the entire shift.

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 25–50 lbs.

  • Ability to reach, pull, push, and move materials safely.

  • Physical stamina to perform repetitive production duties.

  • Ability to safely handle materials and equipment without causing injury or damage.

This position is ideal for someone with hands-on manufacturing experience who takes pride in safety, quality, reliability, and keeping production running efficiently.
