What You'll Do as an Event Usher:
- Help create a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for guests, staff, and vendors during a one-day event.
- Verify credentials or badges for event staff at designated access points
- Help control access to staff-only and restricted areas
- Monitor assigned locations and report safety concerns or unusual activity to supervisors
- Assist with maintaining a safe and organized environment throughout the event
- Provide directions and basic assistance to event staff and guests when needed
- Follow post assignments, event procedures, and supervisor instructions
- Work closely with fellow team members to support smooth event operations
- Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude throughout the assignment
Skills and Experience
What You'll Bring as a Preferred Candidate:
- Experience providing security at concerts, sporting events, festivals, or other public events is preferred
- Strong observation and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent communication and customer service
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance
- Ability to work one of the available event shifts
