Overview
Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Associate is responsible for all operations,
set ups, adjustments on his/her equipment, and general labor on the production line. Duties
include, but are not limited to: operating process machinery and equipment; portioning
ingredients; prepping pans and trays; hand-scaling ingredients; making boxes; stacking pallets;
cleaning and sanitation; washing dishes; effective and respectful communication with team
members and Line Supervisor. This is a fast-paced food production environment with hourly and
daily goals that must be met, and a heavy emphasis on manual work. Food safety and emphasis
on Good Manufacturing Practices are of utmost importance.
Skills and Experience
Previous experience in a food related environment preferred.
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. on a regular basis and up to 50 lbs. on an occasional basis.
Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work well with others in a team atmosphere.
Must be able to stand, walk, climb, reach, lift, carry, pull, push, grasp, stoop, squat, bend
and stretch as needed throughout the shift.
Must be able to read, write, and understand instructions, warnings, labels and postings in
English effectively.
Must be able to withstand extreme heat or cold.
Ability to perform repetitive motion tasks - primarily manual tasks - at a fast pace in a
standing position for the entire shift.
Must be willing to participate in all tasks needed to get the job done - including
dishwashing and clean-up/sanitation.
Must complete GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and Safety Training
Must pass the Food Safety Test after training.
