Overview
Job Summary:
Oversee operations, Annealing operations including roll grinders from a quality, productivity, and efficiency standpoint. Responsible for directly supervising the assigned team.
Job Duties:
- Take ownership of your area's performance including safety, quality, and productivity, holding team members accountable to standards.
- Weekly presentations to the management team regarding area performance.
- Use data to identify trends and predict maintenance needs before they happen.
- Identify areas for improvement and lead improvement events.
- Increase productivity by implementing improved goals, guidelines and procedures.
- Minimize unsafe conditions and accidents.
- Minimize customer rejections and delays.
- Assist in training new operators.
- Maintain monthly/ daily reports.
Skills and Experience
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Experience and training 3-5 years.
- Strong background and knowledge of raw materials, production processes, and quality standards.
- Strong mathematical skills.
- Critical thinking skills.
- Effective communication and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to read and understand material tags and production instructions.
