What You'll Do as a Cell One Operator (Fabrication Machine Operator):
- Operate a variety of fabrication equipment to process raw materials into production-ready components.
- Read work instructions, blueprints, and production documents to complete jobs accurately.
- Measure and inspect materials throughout the fabrication process to ensure quality standards are met.
- Set up and operate cutting, drilling, forming, and shaping equipment while maintaining production efficiency.
- Perform routine quality checks to verify dimensions, fit, and finished part accuracy.
- Safely move materials using overhead cranes or forklifts as needed.
- Monitor equipment performance and perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Work closely with production, engineering, and materials teams to keep jobs moving on schedule.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work environment while following all company safety procedures.
- Help identify opportunities to improve workflow, reduce downtime, and increase production efficiency.
Skills and Experience
What You'll Bring as a Preferred Candidate:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience in manufacturing, metal fabrication, machining, or industrial production is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
- Experience operating fabrication equipment such as saws, plasma cutters, waterjets, brake presses, shears, or similar machinery is preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to learn new equipment and processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to safely operate or learn overhead crane and forklift equipment.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple production tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
