  • Coordinate and monitor production, product quality, equipment safety, and overall manufacturing performance
  • Manage department related activities including hiring, evaluating performance and discipline. Conduct new employee orientation and training. 
  • Implement and provide oversight on safety and quality policies and procedures.
  • Recommend improvements in manufacturing methods to Project Managers and Plant Manager
  • Monitor production schedules to ensure shipments are made on time
  • Actively participate in weekly production meetings and daily huddles
  • Monitor inventory and shop supplies to ensure accuracy
  • Enter purchasing requisitions in Epicor for equipment maintenance and supplies
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient department layout
  • Effectively communicate relevant information in a timely manner to other areas of the organization including sales, purchasing and plant management
  • Inspect all work-in-process and finished goods against company quality standards (drawings, job travelers, specifications, work instructions, etc.)
  • Monitor, track and report on the following KPI's (Key Performance Indicators)
    • Job Performance
    • Safety
    • Quality cases/reworks
    • On Time Delivery

Skills and Experience

  • High School Diploma, associate degree preferred
  • Background in forklift/overhead crane operation, reading blueprints and use of measurement/analytical tools
  • General knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and Workplace Safety 
  • 2-5 years of relevant industrial/manufacturing experience
