What you'll do as: Sub Arc Welders: NIGHT SHIFT
- Perform submerged arc welding (SAW) on various metal components according to specifications
- Set up and operate sub arc welding equipment, including wire feeders and welding machines
- Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and fabrication drawings
- Inspect completed welds for defects and compliance with quality standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- - Must pass Plate Test: 1” plate test, Mig welded in 1G position with fill and cap
- Must pass UT and X-ray
Skills and Experience
Preferred Candidate Might:
- Previous experience with submerged arc welding (SAW)
- Ability to read blueprints, welding procedures, and technical drawings
- Knowledge of welding codes, standards, and fabrication practices
- Experience operating overhead cranes and material handling equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
