Overview
As a Screw Machine Operator, you'll set up and run specialized machines that turn metal bars into precision parts used in a variety of products and industries. You'll read blueprints, install tooling, make machine adjustments, inspect finished parts, and ensure everything meets quality standards. This is a hands-on manufacturing role for someone who enjoys working with machinery, solving problems, and producing high-quality parts with precision and accuracy.
Skills and Experience
- Set up and operate screw machines to manufacture precision metal parts.
- Read blueprints and specifications to determine machining requirements.
- Select and install tooling, adjust machine settings, and perform machine changeovers.
- Inspect parts using measuring tools to ensure quality and accuracy standards are met.
- Monitor machine performance, troubleshoot issues, and replace worn tooling as needed.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and keep equipment in good working condition.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety, quality, and production procedures.
- Assist team members and support production goals as needed.
- Perform other duties assigned to support business operations.
