Overview
A Heavy Assembler is responsible for assembling large or heavy mechanical components, equipment, or products by following blueprints, work instructions, and safety procedures. This position requires the ability to use hand and power tools, lift heavy materials, and maintain quality standards in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
Skills and Experience
Qualifications:
- Previous assembly or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50–75 pounds regularly.
- Comfortable standing, bending, and performing repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Skills:
- Proficient in using hand and power tools.
- Ability to read blueprints and assembly instructions.
- Knowledge of measuring tools and quality inspections.
