What You’ll Do as a Production Scheduler:

You will be responsible for creating, optimizing, and maintaining daily production and service order schedules, ensuring seamless material flow and strong communication between departments to guarantee on-time customer delivery.

  • Schedule Planning & Optimization: Publish daily production schedules, plan sub-components for service orders, and optimize schedules to support smooth production flow and customer satisfaction.

  • Material Tracking & Inventory: Track material flow, expedite urgent parts needed for the line, and assist in maintaining raw material inventory levels while recommending solutions for aged or obsolete materials.

  • Cross-Department Communication: Serve as the main bridge between customer service, sales, warehouse, and production teams to monitor order status from start to finish.

  • Problem Solving & Adjustments: Adjust planned schedules when timelines change, prepare alternate schedules as necessary, and actively communicate delivery risks to the production team.

  • Performance Metrics: Own and track key scheduling metrics, analyze root causes of bottlenecks, and develop actionable plans to improve overall performance.

Skills and Experience

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data tracking, scheduling, and analysis).

  • Previous experience in production scheduling, material planning, or logistics within a manufacturing environment.

  • Ability to monitor performance metrics, identify root causes of delays, and build proactive improvement plans.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with customer service, sales, and floor production teams.

  • The ability to pivot quickly, adjust schedules on the fly, and build alternate plans under tight deadlines.

  • Sharp tracking skills to monitor material flow, manage inventory risks, and ensure order status accuracy from start to finish.
