What You’ll Do as a Forklift Operator:
- Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials using forklifts, clamp trucks, or other powered equipment for approximately 80% of the shift.
- Pull and prepare products for shipment, ensuring correct quantities and product types are loaded.
- Verify load accuracy, including count, stability, and product condition.
- Report inventory or shipment variances as needed.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and reports.
- Comply with OSHA regulations and MSDS standards.
- Change equipment batteries or LP tanks and monitor equipment power sources.
- Maintain warehouse equipment and work areas in a clean, neat, and orderly condition.
- Assist with physical inventory counts.
- Complete daily equipment inspections.
- Perform additional duties assigned by management or customers.
Skills and Experience
What You’ll Bring as a Preferred Candidate:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Forklift operator certification required, or successful completion of forklift training within the first 30 days of employment.
Experience:
- Six months of warehouse experience preferred.
- Six months of forklift operation experience preferred.
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Required:
- Ability to spend approximately 80% of the shift operating powered material handling equipment.
- Basic warehouse operations knowledge.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work assigned shifts.
- Ability to follow safety procedures and work instructions.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow directions.
Preferred:
- Working knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS).
