What You’ll Do as a Seasonal Package Sorter:
- Sort, scan, and process packages accurately and efficiently
- Load and place 50 lb. mail sacks or packages into the appropriate containers
- Meet daily productivity and quality goals
- Inspect packages and labels for accuracy or potential issues
- Follow proper safety procedures and maintain an organized work area
- Report production, quality, or package issues to your supervisor
- Work as part of a team to keep shipments moving on schedule
Skills and Experience
What You'll Bring as a Preferred Candidate:
- Previous warehouse, package handling, sorting, or scanning experience is a plus—but not required
- Ability to perform repetitive lifting and material handling
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, kneel, and reach throughout the shift
- Ability to safely handle packages weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Basic math skills, including counting, addition, and subtraction
- Ability to accurately sort packages by letters, numbers, and other identifying information
- Strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordination
- Dependability and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to follow verbal instructions and established safety procedures
