Job Description – Baler Operator
Position Summary:
The Baler Operator will safely operate baling machinery to process recyclable and waste materials. This role involves sorting materials, monitoring equipment performance, and maintaining a clean work area while meeting production goals.
Responsibilities:
- Operate baler machinery safely and efficiently
- Load cardboard, plastic, paper, or other materials into baler
- Tie, stack, and move completed bales for storage or shipment
- Inspect materials for contamination or non-acceptable items
- Monitor equipment for jams or mechanical issues
- Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of baler equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA guidelines
- Assist with general warehouse or production duties as needed
Skills and Experience
Requirements:
- Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience preferred
- Ability to operate forklifts is a plus
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to safety and detail
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
