Overview
- Reviews and processes employment applications.
- Assists applicants by explaining the application process and helping them complete their employment applications.
- Notifies applicants about any missing documents or information needed for their applications.
- Compiles and organizes data related to applicants and positions.
- Collaborates with other Human Resources Assistants in Recruiting to ensure a smooth recruiting workflow and timely completion of assignments.
- Tracks the screening of employment applications and job requisitions.
- Assists with faculty and staff job fairs as needed.
Skills and Experience
- Excellent oral, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong computer proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, as well as experience in the Windows environment and internet research.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and complete multiple tasks with attention to detail and within set deadlines.
- Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team and across departments.
- Adaptable to constant change and able to thrive in fast-paced, high-intensity work environments.
1. To qualify, one of the following must be met: • Associate’s degree • A minimum of 60 earned college hours 2. At least one (1) year of human resources or professional work setting experience, preferred.
