Overview
The Quality Inspector audits quality procedures and work instructions for compliance. This role inspects work-in-process and finished products to help ensure quality standards are consistently met for customers. The Quality Inspector records findings, prepares reports, initiates corrective actions for problem resolution, and performs additional duties as assigned by management to support facility quality requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Perform inspections and tests per customer specifications and company procedures
- Use precision measuring instruments to measure dimensions and clearances of components
- Verify standard work procedures and process controls are followed
- Read blueprints to determine dimensions and tolerance specifications
- Verify accuracy of production gauges and instructions
- Interface effectively with all levels of plant personnel
- Monitor and evaluate parts at all stages, from raw materials to finished goods and shipping containerization
- Audit incoming supplier materials according to certification requirements
- Report non-conforming products and support corrective actions
- Perform additional duties as assigned

Skills and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience in a metal stamping, brake, and/or welding environment preferred
- Previous quality inspection experience preferred
Language Skills
- Ability to write reports in English
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from supervisors and managers in English
