What You’ll Do as a CNC Machinist:
- Set up, operate, and monitor CNC woodworking machinery
- Run CNC routers, panel saws, edge banders, and machining centers
- Load programs, adjust tooling, and set machine parameters
- Read shop drawings, work orders, and CAD/CAM files
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
- Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot minor issues
- Change tooling, calibrate machines, and verify measurements
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Communicate equipment issues and process improvements with leadership
Skills and Experience
What You'll Bring as a Preferred Candidate:
- 2+ years of CNC machine operating experience preferred
- Experience with CNC woodworking equipment and machine setup
- Ability to read technical drawings and use measuring tools
- Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and attention to detail
- Basic computer skills and ability to work independently or on a team
- Reliable work ethic and commitment to safety and quality
- Experience in cabinetry, furniture, millwork, or woodworking manufacturing is a plus
- Familiarity with Homag, Biesse, SCM, Shelling, or Weeke equipment preferred
- Ability to stand, bend, lift, and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with PPE required
