What you'll do:
- Fabricate custom wood crating solutions for steel coils and materials
- Read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings daily
- Measure, cut, and assemble materials with a zero margin of error
- Ensure a precise and secure fit to prevent shifting during transit
- Select proper lumber and materials based on weight and load requirements
Skills and Experience
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure is non-negotiable
- Ability to read and follow blueprints and shop drawings
- Strong carpentry or woodshop experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Experience using precision measurement tools such as tape measures, calipers, and levels
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Team-oriented with a strong work ethic
