Overview
What You'll Do
Build, assemble, modify, and test automotive steering components and prototypes.
Perform mechanical and electrical testing and document results.
Troubleshoot and analyze components and test failures.
Assemble/disassemble parts and use various testing and measurement equipment.
Assist with quality inspections, prototype materials, shipping, and inventory.
Maintain a clean and safe lab environment following 5S standards.
Work closely with engineers to support new product development and improvements.
Skills and Experience
What We're Looking For
High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience.
Experience building, assembling, repairing, or troubleshooting mechanical components.
Ability to follow detailed work instructions and testing procedures.
Good attention to detail and documentation skills.
Ability to use hand tools, mechanical tools, and testing equipment.
Comfortable working independently and as part of an engineering team.
Preferred Experience
Experience in any of the following is a plus:
Automotive manufacturing or automotive components.
Steering systems or steering components.
Electrical/electronic testing.
Quality control or test lab environments.
Electro-mechanical equipment.
Mills, lathes, or other machining equipment.
SAP or Microsoft Office.
IATF or automotive quality standards.
