What You’ll Do as a Mechanical Assembler:
- Perform all physical requirements necessary to lift and move inventory around the warehouse.
- Operate and maneuver material handling equipment and any material(s) contained thereon in a manner consistent with the intended purpose of the equipment and the manufacturers’ instructions.
- Maintain the warehouse in an orderly and clean state; follow all company safety procedures; perform daily safety inspections (follow LEAN principles).
- Produces components by assembling parts and subassemblies.
- Reads and deciphers schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions.
- Uses hand tools to assemble parts.
- Collaborating with team to assemble products.
- Identify defective and handle them according to established procedures.
- Monitor inventory for correct quantities of components.
- Verify resources and supplies prior to assembly.
- Inspect tools and equipment necessary to perform the task.
- Using reason to solve problems as they rise.
- Report out-of-stock items to management.
- Ability to develop and maintain positive relations with customers, coworkers and supervisors.
- Ability to multi-task and to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work full-time or overtime, if necessary.
Skills and Experience
What You’ll Bring as a Preferred Candidate:
- No prior work experience required; 2-3 years of experience preferred: prior warehouse experience preferred.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Exhibits sound and accurate judgement.
- Use time efficiently.
- React well under pressure.
- Looks for ways to improve and promote quality.
- Observes safety procedures.
