Overview
Job Summary:
We are seeking dependable and hardworking individuals to join our team as a Material Handler. In this role, you will be responsible for moving, organizing, and tracking materials throughout the worksite while maintaining a safe and clean environment. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, physically capable, and takes pride in supporting daily production operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Load, unload, and move materials within or near the worksite
- Inspect materials for quality and identify defects
- Identify materials by part number or written description
- Manually move materials onto and from pallets and shelving
- Transport materials from storage areas to designated work areas
- Count, weigh, and accurately record materials handled on daily production sheets
- Clean work areas, machines, and equipment to maintain a safe workspace
- Assemble crates and containers for products when required
- Attach identifying tags or labels to materials and containers
- Follow all safety rules, policies, and procedures at all times
Skills and Experience
Qualifications:
- Ability to read and identify part numbers and written descriptions
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording information
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous warehouse, manufacturing, or material handling experience preferred but not required
- Must have reach truck experience
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to repetitively lift up to 50 pounds
- Frequent bending, lifting, and moving throughout the shift
