What You’ll Do as an Inventory Control Team Lead:
- Maintain inventory control.
- Loading and unloading wooden crates from trailers
- Stacking goods in the correct storage bays, following inventory control instructions
- Performing daily equipment checks on his forklift.
- Follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping records.
- Execute assignments in an accurate, timely, and safe manner.
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor and plant manager
- Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written
- Must understand and follow Customer’s safe stacking policy and procedures.
- Must maintain acceptable attendance and punctuality.
- Maintain a neat, safe, and orderly work area.
- Read and interpret a basic tape measure daily.
Skills and Experience
What You’ll Bring as a Preferred Candidate:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must have at least 1 year’s forklift experience and ability to obtain a company forklift license
- Regularly sitting on a powered industrial truck
- Good math, language and reading skills
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferable
- Ability to work overtime and some Saturdays if needed
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Inventory Control experience preferred
- Safety conscious
- Ability to frequently lift 50 pounds and adjust body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for long periods of time
- A good sense of balance
- Good eye-hand-foot coordination
- Ability to assess weights and judge distances and heights
- Ability to work at varying temperatures, depending upon season
