What You'll Do:
- Operate press and decoiler, understanding control panel settings and functions.
- Set and bolt dies in presses and adjust press feeders.
- Read and follow setup instructions for each job or utilize saved programs.
- Inspect parts diligently for conformance to inspections, blueprints, and SPC (if applicable).
- Set steel coils in the decoiler and adjust for steel thickness and flatness.
- Be vigilant of all aspects of press operation while blanking parts.
- Check oil levels daily and maintain the cleanliness of equipment and your work area.
- Accurately report production, downtime, and scrap.
- Crucially, you'll have the authority and responsibility to stop production on your equipment to ensure product/process conformity and to notify supervisors or Quality of any suspected nonconforming conditions. You'll also be responsible for preventing the recurrence of nonconforming conditions and notifying management of severe issues.
Skills and Experience
- Must have Hydraulics experience.
- Ability to read and write.
- Basic computer entry skills.
- Proficiency in using measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, indicators, etc.).
- Ability to read blueprints.
Preferred Experience:
- Candidates with 3-5 years of experience are highly encouraged to apply.
- Ability to work any shift and potential overtime as needed.
