Forklift Operator (Sit-Down) – Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate a sit-down forklift safely to move, locate, stack, and load/unload materials within the warehouse or facility.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and pallets to designated storage or staging areas.
- Perform daily equipment inspections (pre- and post-shift) to ensure the forklift is in safe working condition.
- Follow all safety guidelines.
- Accurately pick and prepare customer orders based on pick lists, RF scanners, or work instructions.
- Verify product quantities, item numbers, and packaging to ensure order accuracy.
- Assist with wrapping, labeling, and staging orders for shipment.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently while securing loads properly to prevent shifting or damage.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Communicate with supervisors and team members regarding order status, inventory discrepancies, or equipment issues.
- Support general warehouse operations, including manual handling when needed.
