Measurement Technician (Manufacturing)

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Measurement Technician for a precision manufacturing environment. This role requires strong experience working with exact measurements to create templates used in machining and cutting processes. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced production setting where accuracy is critical to product quality.

Position Overview

The Measurement Technician will be responsible for taking precise measurements of materials and components and developing accurate templates used in fly cutter operations. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to interpret measurements correctly, and confidence working independently to ensure all specifications are met.

Key Responsibilities

  •  Take highly accurate measurements using calipers, micrometers, gauges, tape measures, and other precision tools 
  •  Create and prepare templates used to guide fly cutter machining processes 
  •  Ensure all measurements and templates meet strict quality and dimensional standards 
  •  Verify dimensions, tolerances, and specifications prior to production use 
  •  Identify and report inconsistencies or measurement errors 
  •  Work closely with production and machining teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency 
  •  Maintain organized documentation of measurements and templates 
  •  Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace 

Skills and Experience

Strong experience with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.) 
 High level of attention to detail and accuracy is required 
 Manufacturing, machining, fabrication, or quality inspection experience preferred 
 Ability to read and interpret measurements and basic technical instructions 
 Strong math and spatial reasoning skills 
 Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision 
 Reliable attendance and strong work ethic 
 Prior experience with templates or machining processes is a strong plus
