Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and safety-focused Roll Clamp Operator to join our team. This role is responsible for handling large, cylindrical products (such as paper rolls) using specialized forklift equipment. The ideal candidate will have prior roll clamp experience, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a roll clamp forklift to move, load, and unload materials
- Safely handle large paper rolls or similar products without causing damage
- Inspect equipment daily and report any maintenance issues
- Maintain accurate inventory and product counts
- Follow all safety procedures and warehouse protocols
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed
Skills and Experience
Requirements:
- Previous roll clamp forklift experience required
- Ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and product care
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
- Steel-toe boots required
- High school diploma or GED preferred
