Overview
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Sit-Down Forklift Operator to support our vehicle manufacturing warehouse operations. This role is responsible for efficiently moving materials, loading/unloading shipments, and supporting production lines while meeting daily production goals. Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and be available for overtime as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a sit-down forklift to transport materials, parts, and finished goods throughout the warehouse and production areas
- Load and unload trucks in a safe and timely manner
- Supply production lines with required materials to maintain workflow and avoid downtime
- Accurately track and document inventory movements using warehouse systems or paperwork
- Perform routine equipment inspections and report any maintenance or safety issues
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with safety standards
- Follow all company policies, OSHA guidelines, and safety procedures
- Meet or exceed daily/weekly production and performance goals
Skills and Experience
Requirements:
Overtime Mandatory
- Previous experience operating a sit-down forklift (certification preferred)
- Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment, preferably automotive or vehicle-related
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-driven setting
- Willingness to work overtime, including weekends, as required
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/sit for extended periods
- Basic math and reading skills for inventory tracking
