Overview
Responsible for setting up, operating, and troubleshooting CNC mills, CNC lathes, screw machines, and related equipment to produce precision parts within required tolerances. Performs program edits, adjusts speeds, feeds, and offsets, and supports robotic equipment where applicable. Maintains and sharpens tooling, performs routine machine maintenance, and verifies part quality using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and gauges.
Skills and Experience
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC mills, CNC lathes, and screw machines
- Perform program edits and adjust speeds, feeds, and offsets to meet tolerances
- Robot setup and operation (where applicable)
- Maintain and sharpen tooling; replace carbide and repair tools
- Operate manual equipment including lathes, mills, surface grinders, and profile grinders
- Experience with EDM equipment (preferred)
- Perform routine machine maintenance and precision inspections using micrometers and gauges
- Support Engineering with manufacturability input and process improvements
- Train team members on setup procedures, tooling, and measurement techniques
- Maintain production schedules, quality standards, and safety compliance
