MIG & TIG Welder
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled MIG & TIG Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience performing precision welding on a variety of metals including stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel. This role requires the ability to read blueprints, set up welding equipment, and produce high-quality welds that meet industry and company standards.
Core Responsibilities
Welding Operations
- Perform MIG (GMAW) and TIG (GTAW) welding on various materials including stainless steel, aluminum, carbon steel, and other alloys.
- Produce clean, high-quality welds while maintaining accuracy and precision.
- Ensure welds meet structural and cosmetic quality standards.
Equipment Setup & Maintenance
- Set up welding machines and select appropriate electrodes, filler metals, and shielding gases.
- Adjust machine settings such as voltage, amperage, and gas flow.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspection of welding equipment.
Blueprint & Technical Interpretation
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols.
- Follow fabrication specifications to ensure parts meet design requirements.
Fabrication & Assembly
- Position, align, and secure components using fixtures, clamps, and jigs.
- Fit and assemble metal parts prior to welding.
Quality Control
- Inspect welds and finished components for defects, accuracy, and compliance with standards.
- Ensure work meets AWS (American Welding Society) or company quality guidelines.
Safety Compliance
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience with MIG and TIG welding processes.
- Strong understanding of GMAW and GTAW welding techniques.
- Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols.
- High level of precision, attention to detail, and manual dexterity.
- Strong knowledge of metal properties and welding techniques.
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS Welding Certification or similar industry certification.
- Experience working with thin gauge materials or precision welding applications.
- Experience in fabrication or manufacturing environments.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Perform repetitive tasks and work in a manufacturing environment.
