Overview
Maintenance Technician II is responsible for performing intermediate-level maintenance,
repair, and troubleshooting of equipment and facilities to ensure optimal operational
performance. This role involves diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues,
performing preventive maintenance, and assisting in training junior technicians. The
Maintenance Technician Level 2 works under minimal supervision, utilizing their
expertise to resolve complex issues and supporting the team in maintaining a safe and
functional workplace.
Skills and Experience
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in maintenance or
related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in warehouse maintenance.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair techniques.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools for maintenance tasks.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and the ability to adhere to safety protocols.
• Must be certified or can get certified to drive a forklift, electric pallet jack, and scissor
lift.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Must be able to lift and transport materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
frequently; prolonged standing and frequent bending, stooping, and reaching daily; and
working in confined spaces. Requires a full range of physical motion to perform manual
and electrically powered tools and electrical test equipment.
