Overview
Pallet Repair Technician inspects damaged pallets and repairs them using hand tools and power tools to meet company and customer specifications. The role involves replacing broken boards, reinforcing pallet structures, and ensuring repaired pallets meet quality standards. This is a fast-paced, physical production role that requires lifting, standing, and working with tools such as nail guns and saws.
Typical Responsibilities
- Inspect incoming pallets for damage or defects
- Remove broken boards and replace with new materials
- Use nail guns, band saws, and hand tools to repair pallets
- Ensure pallets meet customer and industry specifications
- Meet daily production quotas and repair targets
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements
- Complete daily production paperwork or piecework sheets
Skills and Experience
Preferred
- Warehouse or manufacturing experience
- Construction or carpentry experience
- Pallet repair or lumber experience
- General labor work
Physical Requirements
- Lift 50–75 lbs repeatedly
- Stand and work throughout the entire shift
- Use power tools and hand tools
- Work in indoor/outdoor warehouse environments
Typical Pay Range
piece-rate production
- Piece-rate average: $18 – $25/hr depending on speed
Monday – Friday
Day Shift
- 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
or
- 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
