Overview
· RF Alignment & Testing
o Perform precision alignment of commercial cavity filters, combiners, duplexers, and other passive RF structures using vector network analyzers and other RF instrumentation.
o Configure, calibrate, and maintain IMD test benches, RF power benches, and P25‑related RF test setups.
· Conduct RF characterization, including:
o Insertion loss/ Return loss / VSWR/ Isolation
o Intermodulation testing
· Troubleshooting & Root-Cause Analysis
o Diagnose non-compliant filters or RF modules and perform corrective alignment or hardware adjustments.
o Identify causes of IMD, spurious response, ripple, or drift in RF assemblies.
o Work closely with engineers to resolve complex RF performance issues and implement design corrections.
· Test Systems & Qualification Work
o Configure, calibrate, and operate RF test benches including:
VNAs, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power meters, power amplifiers, and oscilloscopes.
o Perform in‑house qualification testing including temperature cycling.
· Prototype & Production Support
o Assist with the assembly and alignment of prototype RF filters and new product introductions.
o Provide feedback to all teams to improve test procedures, alignment instructions, and documentation. Train production staff in filter tuning, RF test station configuration, and ATE use.
