Overview
Prep houses for clean out
Empty feeders
Remove all debris, strip all litter, scrap cement floors
Raise and lower, remove or teardown equipment as necessary
Open and close house end doors as needed
Use designated chemicals to sanitize floors, walls, slats, and machinery as defined by the SOP
Feed and restock for the following day
Humanely euthanize birds
Perform routine maintenance
Maintain a clean farm both inside and outside
Adhere to and maintain sanitation, bio-security and safety practices
Shower in/ shower out and follow all biosecurity procedures
Other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
Skills and Experience
Ability to lift and move 50 pounds
Work cooperatively with a team
Routinely work up to 5 days a week, must be available weekends and holidays as needed
Routine handling and interacting with live poultry
Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate
Standing, bending, and stooping for extended periods of time
Withstand ongoing presence of farm related smells or foul odors
Extreme climate exposure both hot and cold
Working in dry/dust and damp and/or wet climate, PPE provided
Basic understanding of machinery tears down and setup
Strong sense of personal responsibility
Basic Chemical understanding a strong plus
Poultry Experience Preferred but Not Required
