Overview
he Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining the overall appearance, cleanliness, and curb appeal of the multifamily community. This role ensures the property grounds, amenities, and common areas are well-maintained, safe, and welcoming for residents and guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain landscaping, including mowing, edging, trimming, watering, fertilizing, and planting.
- Remove weeds, leaves, litter, and debris from grounds, parking lots, walkways, and common areas.
- Maintain flower beds, shrubs, trees, and turf areas.
- Assist with seasonal landscaping tasks such as mulching, leaf removal, snow removal, and holiday décor installation.
- Clean and maintain community amenities (pool areas, playgrounds, dog parks, picnic areas, breezeways, etc.).
- Pressure wash sidewalks, buildings, and other surfaces as needed.
- Empty trash receptacles and maintain dumpster areas.
- Assist maintenance team with light repairs, painting, and general upkeep when needed.
- Monitor irrigation systems and report issues or leaks.
- Identify and report safety hazards or maintenance concerns to supervisor.
- Maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition.
- Follow safety policies and procedures at all times.
Skills and Experience
- Prior landscaping or groundskeeping experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of landscaping equipment and hand tools.
- Ability to operate lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other grounds equipment safely.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining property appearance.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
