Overview
The kitting planner is responsible for scheduling kit builds, ensuring line availability, and coordinating materials and labor so production runs smoothly. This role acts as the operational link between planning and the warehouse floor, making sure each line is prepared and staffed to meet daily production targets
Skills and Experience
- Schedule daily and weekly kitting production, aligning customer demand with available labor, equipment, and materials
- Monitor production progress throughout the shift and adjust the schedule as needed to maintain pad dates
- Partner with supervisors to align labor needs, shift priorities, and resolve bottlenecks
- Communicate updated timelines, expected completion dates, and any schedule changes to customers in a clear, professional manner
- Develop and deliver detailed capacity reports for designated customers, assessing saturation levels on a weekly and monthly basis by Line
