What You'll Do as a Site Logistics Coordinator:
As the Site Logistics Coordinator, you’ll be the operational heartbeat of the construction site—ensuring materials, equipment, and personnel move efficiently and safely.
- Material Management: Coordinate the timely delivery and storage of construction materials. Monitor inventory levels and work with suppliers to ensure materials are available as needed.
- Equipment Coordination: Ensure that construction equipment is delivered, maintained, and efficiently utilized. Schedule maintenance and repairs as needed.
- Site Logistics: Develop and implement site logistics plans to optimize the flow of materials and equipment. Manage the layout and organization of storage areas and loading/unloading zones.
- Communication: Act as a point of contact between suppliers, subcontractors, and the construction team to ensure smooth operations. Address and resolve any logistical issues that arise on-site.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure that all logistics activities comply with safety regulations and company policies. Conduct regular inspections to maintain a safe working environment.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of material deliveries, equipment usage, and other logistical activities. Prepare reports as required for project management.
- Coordination with Stakeholders: Work closely with project managers, site engineers, and other team members to align logistics with project timelines and requirements.
Skills and Experience
What You'll Bring as a Preferred Candidate:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (degree in logistics, construction management, or related field preferred)
- Proven experience in construction site logistics or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and processes
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 card required
- Forklift certification is a plus
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of construction safety regulations
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
