What You’ll Do as a Saw Operator:
As a Saw Operator, you will set up, operate, and maintain industrial saw equipment to cut metal materials to precise measurements based on blueprints and work orders.
Responsibilities include:
- Operate band saws, cold saws, CNC saws, or similar cutting equipment
- Measure and cut metal stock, pipes, and materials to exact specifications
- Interpret blueprints, work orders, and production instructions
- Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, tape measures, and gauges
- Perform quality checks to ensure accurate cuts and dimensions
- Maintain equipment and ensure the work area stays clean and safe
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE
Skills and Experience
What You’ll Bring as a Preferred Candidate:
- 1–3 years of experience in metal fabrication or industrial manufacturing preferred
- Proficiency operating band saws, cold saws, or similar equipment
- Ability to read blueprints and work orders
- Strong measuring skills (tape measure, calipers, precision tools)
- Basic math skills for accurate material cutting
- Ability to lift 50–70 lbs and perform physical job duties
