Conduct daily inspections of incoming raw materials and finished goods shipments for accuracy, specification conformance, and damage.
Perform thorough pre-operational and changeover inspections, including verification of equipment cleanliness and swabbing for sanitation effectiveness.
Execute environmental monitoring procedures as directed.
Compliance Monitoring:
Monitor Critical Control Points (CCPs) and other process control points to ensure strict adherence to documented HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) plans.
Verify and document facility operations to ensure continuous compliance with GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), SSOPs (Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures), and FSMA (Food Safety Modernization Act) requirements.
Testing & Documentation:
Perform various technical food product tests (e.g., pH, Brix, weight checks) and quality audits according to standard procedures.
Accurately record all test results, inspection findings, and monitoring data in computer databases and physical logs.
Maintain organized and traceable records for regulatory and internal audits.
Quality Control:
Proactively identify and investigate non-conforming products or ingredients.
Initiate and manage the "QA Hold" process for substandard items to prevent their release, tracking disposition and corrective actions.
Report food safety and quality deviations promptly.
Collaboration & Improvement:
Work closely with production, maintenance, and logistics teams to promptly identify, investigate, and resolve quality issues.
Act as a resource for training production staff on quality standards and procedures, promoting a "product protection culture" across all shifts.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education & Experience:
A high school diploma or GED is required.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a detail-oriented, regulated environment (e.g., laboratory, regulated manufacturing).
Prior Quality Assurance or Quality Control experience in a food, beverage, or logistics environment is strongly preferred.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced functionality in Microsoft Excel for data tracking, analysis, and reporting.
Experience working with digital quality management systems (QMS) or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is a plus.

Communication: Strong interpersonal and written communication skills to clearly report concerns, incidents, and deviations to management and cross-functional departments.

Previous warehouse, receiving, or inventory experience preferred.
Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory systems.
Ability to read and interpret shipping documents.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand, bend, and walk for extended periods. High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in the food industry, warehousing, or inventory control.
1+ years’ experience in inventory or warehousing preferred.
Experience operating powered industrial trucks, including forklifts and cherry pickers.
Ability to work at elevated heights using lift equipment.
Basic computer skills; experience with Microsoft D365 a plus.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good organizational and time management skills.
Must be able to read, write and speak English.
Warehouse setting with exposure to moving equipment and varying temperatures.
May require overtime, early mornings, or weekends depending on business needs.
