Overview
Ōnin Staffing is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Fabric Selector / Marker in the Clayton, NC area. In this role, you will be responsible for selecting and preparing fabric for the cutting process while ensuring accuracy in size, color, and material direction. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working from written and verbal instructions and maintaining an organized work area.
- Monday to Friday.
- Pay rate: $16.32/hr.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret work orders, including sizes and fabric colors.
- Retrieve fabric rolls from storage racks.
- Verify fabric color, direction, size, and code accuracy.
- Transport and return fabric rolls to designated stock areas.
- Combine sizes of elements to minimize fabric waste.
- Assist with fabric cutting and operate cutting machines as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Skills and Experience
- Experience in fabric cutting and sizing required.
- Experience working with various fabric materials and measurements.
- Ability to read and interpret fabric sizes and codes.
- Experience operating fabric cutting machines preferred.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- Standing for extended periods.
- Frequent lifting and moving of fabric rolls.
- Repetitive movements and attention to detail.
- Fast-paced production environment.
