What You'll Do as a Logistics Equipment Operator:
- You will be responsible for operating specialized equipment such as forklifts, roll clamps, or jockey trucks to ensure the smooth flow of goods through our warehouse and distribution space.
- Safely operate roll clamps, forklifts, or jockey trucks to pick, load, and unload trailers, containers, and railcars.
- Perform daily pre- and post-trip equipment inspections and strictly adhere to all safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
- Utilize tablet and RF technology effectively to track movements and maintain accurate records.
- Efficiently open and close railcar doors and set or remove railcar dock plates as needed.
- Maintain a "team-first" attitude, assisting coworkers and contributing to production goals in a fast-paced environment.
Skills and Experience
What You'll Bring as a Preferred Candidate:
- 1+ year of material handling operations with Clamp Forklift or Yard Jockey experience.
- Ability to successfully complete training and achieve certifications for forklift, roll clamp, or jockey truck operations.
- Proficiency in using RF scanners and tablet systems.
- A strong record of safety, positive behavior, and consistent attendance.
