As a manager in training, you'll be immersed in the shift operations, learning the ropes of effective team leadership and manufacturing management.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading & Developing Teams: Learn to effectively manage and lead production employees to achieve daily production, quality, and safety targets.
- Technical Expertise: Develop your ability to analyze and troubleshoot equipment and machinery, ensuring smooth operations.
- Process Mastery: Gain a thorough understanding of the entire manufacturing process, including equipment setup and control settings.
- Effective Communication: Clearly communicate vital information to all night shift employees, ensuring everyone has what they need to succeed.
- Policy & Procedure Enforcement: Maintain adherence to company policies, rules, and procedures, providing coaching and corrective action when necessary.
- Quality Control: Achieve a strong working knowledge of all QC systems and material/product testing equipment.
- Time Management: Manage Kronos Time & Attendance for your direct reports on a daily basis.
Skills and Experience
What You'll Bring as a Preferred Candidate:
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing/production environment as a Shift Lead, Lead Technician, Supervisor, or in Production Management
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment troubleshooting.
- Experience with Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies.
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business or a related field (preferred).
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts and lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
- Comfortable leading in a fast-paced, hands-on production environment.
- Familiarity with Kronos or similar time and attendance systems is a bonus.
