Job Title: Warehouse Forklift Operator

Job Summary:
The Warehouse Forklift Operator is responsible for transporting incoming freight from staging areas to designated inventory locations, replenishing pick slots, and maintaining the efficient flow of warehouse and production operations. This role ensures all safety, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and quality standards are met while functioning as a team member and supporting overall warehouse operations.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Review daily work schedules, perform safety inspections on equipment, gather required supplies, and prepare for operations.

  • Follow receiving sheets, computer printouts, established procedures, and written or verbal instructions.

  • Locate incoming freight in staging areas, perform count verification, inspect for damage, conduct temperature and quality checks, and transport materials using a forklift, hi-lift, or power jack.

  • Place pallets in assigned storage rack locations, hand stack items when necessary, and enter product data and locations into RF units or handheld devices.

  • Replenish pick slots with outgoing stock based on upcoming work orders.

  • Rotate date-sensitive inventory, remove outdated products per company policy, and manage overstock in designated storage areas.

  • Remove and properly dispose of empty pallets, cardboard, and strapping materials. Inspect, stack, and store reusable pallets.

  • Perform general housekeeping duties, manage battery recharging and replacement, complete equipment inspection checklists, and secure equipment at shift end.

  • Complete all required documentation and perform additional duties as assigned.





Skills and Experience

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to bend, twist, stand, sit, and lift as required.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent experience (required).

Experience Requirements:

  • Required: 6–12 months of warehouse experience; completion of forklift and/or power jack training with certification.

  • Preferred: 1–2 years of warehouse experience operating a forklift in a foodservice environment.

Certifications (Preferred):

  • OSHA Forklift Operator Certification.

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. until work is completed.
